Karan Mody joined the practice in 2014, drawn to a clinic that ran the way he believed dentistry should, where appointments ended when the work was done, not when the clock said so. He had trained at the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where the program builds restorative skill alongside long chairside hours.
That combination set the rhythm he still keeps today. Examine carefully, explain what's actually wrong, recommend only what's actually needed. There is a particular kind of patience required for restorative work (crowns and bridges that have to feel right for years), and it is the same patience he brings to a recall exam for a six-year-old.
Some of the patients who first came to see him in his second year here now bring their children. A few bring their parents too. That continuity is something he takes seriously.
